Hi guys!!
I am looking for easy quick snack ideas that will work with a PCOD diet - basically Atkins Induction phase forever, except less fat. Ideally something with low carbs and low fat that is grab and go for snacking at work.

I second this. I also like to have hard boiled eggs or egg muffins at the office.2 -
Unfortunately because of my gallbladder being removed i'm not supposed to eat a lot of fat, either. I do like the idea of the jerky though, if I can find some that is not loaded with carbs and sugar.0

A while back I did the Dukan Diet for a while, which is low carb/low fat. Snacks were often things like Light & Fit yogurt, celery with a little PB2, a little lunchmeat rolleup (sometimes with reduced fat string cheese), etc.1

Boiled eggs forever1

Turkey or ham rolled up with lettuce or other greens. Sliced cucumbers with low fat cheese.

Thank you for all these ideas! I love boiled eggs, but I try to watch my cholesterol as well. I have gotten some turkey sliced up to try! I also went to the store yesterday and found sharp cheddar cheese sticks that was low carb and low calorie...not as low fat as i'd like...buuuuut. The cucumber idea sounds good too!0

Mussels (I buy them precooked) are almost all protein.
ETA: missed the snack part. Decent for dinner though.0 -
I had my gallbladder out 2 years ago. I've actually managed to increase my fat to 35% of my calories (at maintenance). Everyone reacts a bit differently but the surgery doesn't guarantee you have to be low-fat forever.0

It's more of a pain to carry around, but roast a turkey breast and use some turkey plus raw veg (I enjoy radishes or kohlrabi as a snack, in addition to some of the more obvious ones). A pickle if the desire is to eat, not calories (and sodium is not an issue). Cold chicken (same idea as the turkey breast). Sardines packed in water. Smoked salmon (the fattiness varies, so could work.)
Good jerkies, for sure, if you like them.0 -
You need to focus on a gallbladder friendly diet not a PCOD diet while you're sick. That means go carb (in particular vegetable carb) heavy. Eat lots of vegetables. Some lean protein. Stay away from fats.
When your gallbladder issue is fixed go fat/protein heavy but doing it now will make u feel a whole lot worse.0 -
My fiancee had his gallbladder removed and he follows a keto diet with me no problem. His doctor even recommended it to him. He's had absolutely no issues with it. Just my two cents!0

OP, did your doctor recommend the PCOD diet? That was my impression, and if so I'd do what your doctor said.0 -
