Does any one else feel like they might be going through a mid life crisis as well as being on the weight loss journey?

    Don't know about mid life crisis but I did the whole menopause thing while losing weight.
    Came out the other end lighter, fitter, and as healthy as ever.

    Cheers, h.

    I had mine a few years ago, but now I feel like I need to buy an old Jeep.

    Maybe a turning-thirty-this-year crisis? Hahahahaha. I spent too much of my twenties as an anxiety-ridden mess. Kind of want to make my thirties better.

    Yes. I want a pool boy.
    I don't have a pool.

    @Ironandwine69 The economical option:

    There was a better picture I found but it was NSFW unfortunately.

    I like that.
    Not the pool boy though. I have very specific requirements.

    Hmmmm - would have to live until I'm 114 to qualify for "mid-life". :smiley:

    Not so much a crisis as a realisation that if I want as many good years as possible I've got to put the effort in now.

    I really don't like to put labels on myself. They feel negative. There's always some kind of challenge in life. Awareness is good, but why make it into an insurmountable obstacle, which is what many people choosing labels do. Just keep pushing ahead.

    The only crisis I know of in mid life is that once a person reaches 50, corporations want to get rid of them. It's age discrimination, pure and simple, and a crisis.

    I turn 50 in November. Sometimes I look at my life and think of all the things I haven't done yet. Sometimes that motivates me to get busy. Sometimes, like today, it makes me depressed.

    I hope this is my 1/3-life crisis ;)

    I find myself emotional when I change my eating and fitness for the better. Because I'm in a bit of an upheaval but overall I think it's the low-grade effects of change.
