My wife asked me about this and I did a little research into them. Seems they work really well, but many people said that they just quit working after a couple months. Mileage may vary, but form your own conclusions from Amazon reviews. I am thinking the fitbit would be a better device, but it doesn't monitor heart rate.0

I've had a Jawbone Up since May this year and have linked up with a couple of users on here. Its good for tracking sleep, steps, cals, etc and for me protein. The downside is the battery life - I had to exchange it yesterday as the battery started to go and from further reviews on the UP community, this is a fundamental problem. I expect it to go again and when it does I'll be requesting my monies back.0
