Hi :) Just wondering how to log reformer Pilates in myfitnesspal? I have looked through a few post with the same question but nothing really resolving the question. There is normal pilates but there are way more calories burned in my reformer class. Thanks

How much more do you think? Add the extra percentage. If you are not losing or are losing too fast adjust the number.

Not sure but I'm feeling more burn in my legs and core then I normally do in a regular Pilates class, plus sweating the entire time then just a little bit in a normal class.

I'd just track it as regular pilates. I agree with you that reformer classes are more difficult than mat classes, but unless your reformer classes are mainly jump board based it's really more of a strength based class than cardio, and any difference in calories burned between a mat and reformer is probably pretty minimal IMO. I love reformer classes!

My favorite workout! I do a 55 minute class once a week and log it at 200. It's my best guess.

I'd do this as well. You might get a little "cushion" but the difference won't be that significant.

Thanks everyone !!! Think I'll have to double it because I feel like I work twice as hard

I'd be careful with that. I do mat Pilates several times a week. I don't know that I'd trust that the calories burned doing reformer would be DOUBLE what's burned doing a mat class.

I do reformer pilates once a week, and I agree that it's basically like a strength session, and would log it that way (so like regular pilates too). I don't think the calorie burn is that high (same with any fundamentally strength-based sessions other than something like circuit training or a related kind of class that has a lot of cardio too). I do think it's a great exercise and love including it in my week.

I don't log back exercise since I use TDEE method, but if I did I'd just log it as pilates and maybe not cut it back like I would a mat class (or yoga).
