What amount of calories do you aim to burn every day or every week.?

I don't have a specific goal for weekly calorie burns. Some weeks I run 20+ miles, mountain bike, lift weights, hike and swim, and other weeks I sit on my butt the whole time. It's so variable, depending on my mood and schedule, that I just set my day-to-day activity level to sedentary (my default) and then log any extra calories I earn from exercise each day (if I did any.) I aim to burn all the calories I eat. No more. No less.

so if you eat 3000 calories you try to burn all of it?

You do know that you're burning calories by just being alive, right? 3000 calories a day isn't so far stretched for a lot of people. Heck I burned 2900 yesterday and I'm 5'5" and 39.

    I don't know... It's not like I'm counting them!!

Same. Counting food calories is tedious enough. I'm not counting exercise calories too. That's too much damn math. lol.

I don't pay attention to calories burned really. I use mfp and FitBit and try to stay under the "total goal" allowance which includes the estimate for calories used for exercise. Sometimes I do, sometimes not so much.
