Hi everyone! I am back on here, over the last few years i have packed on 20 lbs and im at my heaviest. I have been ttc for 2 yrs, suffered one loss. diagnosed with hashimotos (hypothyroidism) and have started meds. They think thats the cause of the loss but I think me not being healthy may have a lot to so with it. So im starting to work out again, choose healthy foods and watch portion control. Anyone else getting healthy while trying to conceive? Would love the extra motivation

Sounds like we have similar stories. I am also losing weight for TTC. We have been trying for 2.5 years. I was diagnosed at 16 with hypothyroidism and just this past year diagnosed with PCOS. Hubby and I have have been for the last month hitting the gym 4-5 times a week and eating healthier (low carb, more fruits and veggies).

Hi...I am also loosing weight for TTC. We have been trying for a couple years now. My primary care doctor ask me if I was going to try for another baby. I discussed with her in my recent appt about trying to have a baby she feels I'm not ovulating like i should seeing how I have hair growth on my chin, could have PCOS. She might be afraid I have cysts siting on my ovaries. I have a appt in July with my gynecologist. Until that appt I have started changing my diet and working out and researching natural ways to help me.

Losing weight for TTC here as well. Just started seeing a specialist but have been trying for 4 years with no luck. Still in testing but so far too much insulin, to much estrogen.

kvcash-ive been watching my carbs too. Low carb is supposed to be good for your thyroid bc it reduces antibodies (or at least thats what dr.google says lol)

keisha-have you tried temping? that can show you whether your are ovulating or not. That might help your dr get a better idea of whats going on.

Been doing the healthy eating and exercising for about a month and a half and have lost 22lbs. How are things going for you guys? Any suggestions? keisha-yeah i have stopped too! i did for about 7 months and then just got tired of it, i think it was causing more stress for me. I did learn around the time i ovulated, and progesterone test proved i did. so far the only thing the RE has found with me is hypothyroidism (hashimotos) and i have low reserve. Im not technically in the range of dimished reserve yet, but i def have less eggs than most 30 yr olds. So i need to do everything i can to get my family soon. Ive been taking coq10, royal jelly, folate and myoinsitol (spell check) for egg quality. Myoinsitol is also supposed to be good for PCOS, btw. i get premama fertility, its a drink mix with myoinsitol in it.

reneemorgan: wow congrats on the 22 lbs! that is amazing, sounds like you are already on a good start. im starting to count carbs, just to get lower im scared to go zero carbs. i know im ovulating now and im just scared if i make too big of a change it might effect it. Im struggling lol,so not much advice really. I can def use the extra motivation though!
