Fitbit and my fitness pal sync

Regarding the integration between Fitbit and my fitness pal, I have a question regarding "double dipping" ones steps. If my Fitbit syncs to MFP and shows 10000 steps however 4000 of those steps were spent running, should I still enter my run under exercise in MFP? Seems I am getting double the credit and I want to be honest with myself throughout this process. Any suggestions would be welcomed. Hope I made sense.

No. If you sync Fitbit you don't need to log exercise manually in mfp1

Nope, don't enter your run. That's already been imported from your fitbit.1
