So I never realized HOW MANY calories are in alcohol.... it's a lot, btw lol
I also read this..

Here’s the problem with all alcoholic beverages, and the reason I recommend refraining from alcohol consumption on the diet. Alcohol, whenever taken in, is the first fuel to burn. While that’s going on, your body will not burn fat. This does not stop the weight loss, it simply postpones it, since the alcohol does not store as glycogen, you immediately go back into ketosis/lipolysis after the alcohol is used up.

So... with all that being said.. if you like to drink here and there..what is your choice while trying to stay 'fit' ?

Scotch, they put the water in when they make it. Wine with dinner. Craft beer to finish.

I still drink it, just not as many as I used to drink. I'm not on a diet, so I figure a more 'honest' representation is best. I'm a craft beer drinker and have traded my stouts for lighter things like Kolsch or white ales. A rum and diet coke is also a fave as well as tequila w/Izze.

When I get drunk I start ordering "Red Bull and diet vodka" lol! Course it doesn't take me much to get drunk so I usually get what I want!

Good IPA's the better they are the less of them you can drink and the more satisfying each one is.

Reminds me. I need to pick up gin on the way home. And put the diet tonic in the fridge.

    Thanks.

Red wine but it's hard to just have 6 oz so I usually have just once a week when I have a big calorie deficit day. Still I find alcohol stimulates my appetite so I have to drink with dinner or I can go on a big food binge!

If I'm low on calories, cherry vodka or rum+diet coke.
    If I can splurge, wine.

Wait, what? What is this tonic of which you speak??

I've had their ginger beer but not tonic.

    Hmm. Moscow mule.

I'm having rum chata. I usually stick with rum or vodka mixed with root beer. I drink one drink or two shots once or twice a week.
