Zumba Instructor question

Options
I'm getting ready to go go through the Zumba basic 1 training in about a week. Can anyone give me any advice on what it's like and things I'll need to bring with me? Also, I have cerebral Palsy on one side so anyone who went through it and has special needs I would appreciate your perspective as well!

The instructor of your training should be able to answer these questions! Why don't you shoot them an email?

    Hi there! I'm a zumba instructor. :)
Trainings may vary based on the ZES (zumba educational specialist) but basic outline of the training:
    1) one hour zumba class
    2) lecture: intro and format
    3) do a drill where you come up with a cardio or toning move for Zumba.
    4) learn merengue steps. Zes will teach one merengue song
    5) learn cumbia steps. Zes will teach one cumbia song
    -long 1.5 hr lunch break-
    6) lecture more for about 1.5 hrs. Talk about the zin network (HIGHLY RECOMMEND YOU JOIN IT AT THE TRAINING. that was my biggest mistake!)
    7) learn salsa steps. Zes will teach one salsa song.
    8) learn reggaeton steps. Zee will teach one reggaeton song
    9) lecture about the zumba formula, playlist, class, etc.
    10) my zes split us into 4 groups. She assigned us a part in a song and we have to come up with dance moves to it. In the end we all come together to put it as one choreography.
    11) zes teaches another routine for fun as a wrap up.

Do not worry, you will take frequent breaks in between. Bring snacks, eat your lunch, drink lots of water, extra pair of clothes, towel, and money. It will take up an entire 8 hrs. Super fun! :) take pictures too!!! Idk so much about your second question. In would address that to the zes via email.

Have a blast!! I want to become a Zumba instructor at some point, so I'm a little jealous. Hope it goes great!
