First Time Dieting

I was never overweight until about about two years ago. I started putting on weight and couldn't lose it no matter how hard I exercised. I discovered I had sleep apnea and that weight gain was due to a genetic disorder I had received from my father. The genetic disorder has been corrected via surgery and medication and I'm using a sleep apnea machine and have decided to get rid of the 100 pounds I gained. I have been logging my calories and working out 4x a week for the last three weeks and am already down 16 pounds. I definitely feel like this is doable and maintainable for me in the long run and am looking forward to be able to recognize myself in the mirror again.
