My Boyfriend had cereal with spoiled almond milk.What to do before food poisoning?

Not a lot you can do, if it didn't taste horrendous then he should be fine.

1) how do you know it was spoiled? Did he eat the whole bowl? If so, I doubt it was.

2) If food poisoning happens, it happens. Aside from proper food handling, you can't prevent it. If he starts to feel sick, he needs to call his doctor.

Make sure you have dioralyte in the house.

However, almond milk isn't milk. It's fortified nut juice. It can go off (I've had off soya milk before and that was disgusting ) but it's not in the same league as dairy milk for bacterial food poisoning. Just a bit of off milk contaminating a raw dish can be bloody lethal, but almond juice doesn't form the same quality of All You Can Eat Buffet for those bacteria. It's a bit like the difference between undercooked meat and undercooked veg. So he might not get very ill, or not ill at all.

Don't post on an internet message board, call poison control or the doctor.

But chances are nothing is going to happen. Eating spoiled food doesn't guarantee food poisoning. Our stomach acid is good at killing most things.
