Tuesday I go into surgery to repair my hip...I will be unable to exercise for 3 weeks due to being non-weight bearing. Then limited for another 5 weeks. Any suggestions on foods to help hunger but not get too ma my calories since in can't exercise?

Eat at sedentary maintenance, or a little above. The body needs calories to recover.

I second that. And make sure you get adequate protein for repair.
You'll recover quicker and be able to move around again quicker.1 -
Having just come out of surgery 11 days ago ... yes, eat at maintenance. It is actually really difficult not to! I tried to limit myself to 1300 calories a day but was feeling so nauseated and the only thing that eased the nausea was eating a little bit more.
Also don't be surprised if you put on weight.1 -
That's what I'm scared of is putting on weight....I feel like what I've been working toward will be wasted. Thanks all for your comments!!!0
