Weighing in advice

Due to several operations to my legs i have balance issues and because of this i have to weigh in with my shoes on. I also wear splints and im in understanding that this can add onto my weight result. Should i deduct something off my overall result when i have weighed myself or just stick with the reading it gives?. Thanks

Put the shoes and splints on the scale to see what they weigh. Then subtract that from yours weight wearing them.3

In terms of tracking progress, I'd just go with the reading the scale gives, for the sake of ease, assuming you're wearing the same shoes when you weigh. Obviously for goal weight you will want to know the weight of your shoes and splints so you can account for that.1
