9 lbs down

I've given up alcohol for a month now and my weight has gone down by 9 lbs.
I'm not craving alcohol as much now so hopefully I'm over the worst.
I've still got 30 lbs to go but I have a feeling it's going to be a long road.
I'm aiming for 2 lbs a week so I'm on track.
Thanks for all the support MFP friends.

Good work on letting go of the alcohol. I remember your other post.
Stopping drinking alcohol was a huge event in my life - in every way; not the least of which was my health and weight.
As far as the weight loss, if you only have 30 pounds to lose, I would set goals at "Lose 1/2 pound [or even 1 pound] per week." A two pound loss per week is pretty difficult unless you have a lot of body fat. I always feel better eating as much as I can while losing.
