MFP and breastfeeding

Anyone breastfeeding and using MFP? My son is 10 months old. I started using MFP again about a week ago. How many calories are you adding for breastfeeding? I exclusively breastfeed so no bottles to see how many oz he is eating.

You should add 300-500 for breastfeeding. From my own experience, when I was breastfeeding I lost about a pound or more a week eating 2,000 calories per day, and I'm 5'2, over forty, and didn't have much to lose (I lost about forty pounds total post birth over a six month period). I decided on 2,000 by starting out at 1200 (MFP recommendation for normal weight-loss at my height) plus 500 for breastfeeding. This put me at 1,700 but I was starving so I experimented with eating more and 2,000 seemed to be the sweet spot.0

I'm exclusively pumping so know how many oz, I'm averaging 24oz a day now and add 20 calories per oz. Baby is 11 months old.0
