Old habits . . . time to break them!

I'm sitting on Platform 2 at the train station waiting for a train to take me north to see a friend. I would normally have a costa and cake or a big bag of chocolate and a fizzy drink. Today I am sat here with a bottle of water

    Good for you.

Don't cut them out altogether though. Allow a little bit in here and there. Keeps us sane.

    Moderation is the key :)

This is a great step. Breaking food associations at least for some activities is important. If I'm going to have cake I want to have it because I want cake, not because sitting at a train station triggered the behavior. Cake for birthdays? That's a ritual I would like to keep, lesser rituals are just not important enough to warrant the calories.

Some days its easy to overcome habits, other days not so much but the good news is the more you keep saying no to certain things the less hold they have over you. I do agree with above poster though about moderation though.
It takes 21 days to form new habits so keep on going
