New "very mature" guy here

I found reddit when I found the Pet Loss section a few months ago. I found the r/fitness subreddit and I am sure I am in the right place. I have enjoyed a 43 years of continuous sobriety through structure fellowship and accountability in my 12 step program. I think I will find the same benefits here. I have lost weight in the past and have always done it successfully without help. However I need structure this time & I am eager to begin. I don't want to gain this same 40 pounds again. Too difficult to lose. Today is my first day, June 1, 2017, and I am ready to hit it head on. I look forward to interacting with others on this same journey.

Here here. I'm back on track too. I need support big time. I'm here to help what I can, but I need help too, tbh.0

Welcome. Get at it! Do good hard work.
We all need help that's for sure and support is great!
I'm sorry to hear about the Pet Loss, I was in the same boat a few years ago.
I digress. Welcome again.0
