Vacation Question

I'll be on vacation at an all inclusive for 7 days coming up very soon. I've been doing great on my weight loss journey--eating at a deficit, eating pretty clean, lifting and cardio 5 to 6 days a week.
This is a trip my husband and I take once a year to be alone together (no kids). I don't want to be too uptight and make myself miserable, but I don't want to come back having gained a ton of weight either.
Any tips to help me while I'm there? They do have a small gym on site.
ETA: The week after we come back I have a retreat to go to for my husband's work at the beach--so, I want to still look nice in my bikini and not too bloated if that's possible. Lol

Bring clothes and hit that small gym every morning.
I know it's hard. Going on vacation in the summer derails me ...every.single.time. I am determined not to mess it up this summer. I plan on finding a way to work out every day, even if it's simply walking for 30 minutes. We are renting a beach house w/ my parents and other relatives so I can bring a lot of my own food..the same food I eat every day. I am also going to try to limit my snacking. And I'm going to give myself a break. it's vacation. If I gain a couple pounds during the week, so what. I know I will probably drink more wine/beer than I normally do, but it's vacay. I'll lose those pounds again. I'm not going to let it get me off track like in the past.0 -
I'm assuming it's somewhere tropical so I would take advantage of that. Walk/run the beach, go swimming, take advantage of all the watersports available like paddleboarding, kayaking, peddleboats, whatever is there. I would try to start everyday with something active. As far as food and drink, take advantage of the all-inclusive! Personally, I would eat/drink whatever I want but making somewhat smart decisions and maybe limit the fruity blended drinks to one per day and stick with lower calorie options (whiskey on the rocks for me). And tons of water.0

I definitely plan to hit the gym in the mornings. I know they have some cardio machines and free weights.

This is what hurts me--the fruity blended drinks. We're going to Mexico. I can't do straight liquor on the rocks, but I'm open for any low calorie drink suggestions!

Long loving walks with Hubby, hitting the gym (maybe), sight seeing, swimming, any other activity you might enjoy. If you're on vacation, at a place you enjoy, with the person, or people , you enjoy, I have always failed to see the need for alcohol. The site, company and relaxing atmosphere should be enough. But to each his/her own, be mindful and enjoy. The bottom line is: How much weight do you think you could gain in a week without going completely hog wild? Don't go crazy, you should be fine. Get back on board on your return.0

I'd say use the gym, but enjoy yourself. Move yourself up to maintenance calories if you're going to track at all (I usually don't when on a true vacation) and enjoy yourself. Vacations usually only come around 1-2x a year for most people, no need to make it stressful. When you return, don't weigh in, get back to your routine, and after a week or a bit longer then weigh in to see what your actual gain was, it probably wasn't much at all. The first few days of your return you'll most certainly gain weight from all the extra sodium. Have fun!1

I find I only eat 2 times a day- late breakfast- light snack and dinner.
Don't go ham at buffets. It's not a contest.
Go to the gym- make up workouts- it's fun- sweat.
And walk everywhere - don't take the little tram unless you have to. relax and don't go crazy.0 -
I'm not sure I would hit the gym on vacation. I would walk everywhere, indulge in paddleboarding/kayaking/swimming/hiking...all the outdoor sports that burn a ton of calories and work muscles that aren't normally worked.
I run when I go on vacation but use my runs to sight see. If you are a runner (and so is your husband) head out to see the area. I would not go alone in a new area though unless I knew the area and had solid recommendations on where to run. For example I ran alone in portland because I knew where to run and the locals backed up my ideas but didn't run alone in denver because all the locals said there wasn't a close safe place to go.0
