Hi. A quick question to the community. As I lose weight why is the calorie goal not reducing automatically?? Is there something that I need to do?? Thank you for your response.

Go to MY HOME > Goals > View guided setup

    http://www.myfitnesspal.com/account/change_goals_guided

Update your current weight and save changes. It will adjust your calories.

What I hear is that every 10lbs lost your calories adjust. If you'd like to do it manually follow the link posted in the response above.

I thought so too. But I dropped 13 lbs over the past month but no adjustment.

I know when I first started on MFP it would prompt me and ask if I wanted to update my goals...I think I still had to do it manually though. That was the web version, and a lot has changed over time.

I also think it doesn't ever put you at lower than 1200 calories for women and 1500 calories for men. If you are at that level I don't think it'll ever change. Plus there's no reason to reduce your calories if you are still losing the weight at relatively the same pace.
