Too much protein?

I'm currently in a deficit, aiming for 1500-1600 calories per day. I tracked my macros and I was surprised that my protein was around 140, and I'm 133 lbs. I've been doing weight watchers, and using premier protein as creamer, quest waffles, etc. I know that too much protein is taxing on the kidneys, so I'm concerned that I'm actually getting too much. Any insight on my macros? I'm 5'3, aiming for 125 lbs (34 yo woman)

I don't think it's too much, but I have 150g a day... At 5ft 5 and 63kg (138lbs). If it is helping you feel satisfied, and doesn't stop you eating sufficient fat/fibre then it's fine.

That said, it sound like a lot comes from supplements. I personally try and get as much as I can from food before adding powders/protein bars etc.

Your protein has to be ridiculously high for it to be too taxing on the kidneys. You're fine. I'm 140 and get 150g of protein very often. I can go up to 170 as well.

Your good. Its only taxing if its crazy amounts and you arent drinking fluids or have previous kidney issues.
