The dreaded plateau

No, I'm not complaining. I've come to offer hope to people who have hit a bit of a weight loss stop.
I lost 1.5 lbs in the past 2.5 months (I should be dropping 2lbs a week with the 1500cals I'm eating) but I stuck to my target regardless and in the last week suddenly 4lbs have dropped off.
What changed? Finally finishing the uni year and having all my deadlines done. I'm assuming that it was stress that was causing some of the problem.
I also got my bloods checked by my doctor as I was feeling so rotten and fed up of not losing and they showed I've had some sort of infection and also my thyroid test showed TSH of 4.2 which in the UK isn't counted at hypothyroid... but it means I know to keep a close eye on it now.

So my message to people who hit a bit of a plateau? Keep eating at/around your target if you know it is correct. Make sure you weigh everything. If in doubt see your doc. But remember that it may simply be down to what ever else is going on in life. Hang in there and it'll hopefully pass.
