Couch to Metric Century (c2100k) Bicycling

Hello,
I started back on MFP to lose weight using tracking food and increasing my activity. I needed to lose 100 and am down about 25 at the moment (yeah). I slowly trained for six months and last weekend slogged my way through a marathon. (yeah, again).
After sitting very still for this last week since the race, recovering, I'm thinking I want something else to sort of keep me on track and help with motivation. I have a nice bicycle and in 8 weeks there is a metric century near my home. Is there some kind of 8 week training plan, like the famous c25k running plan, to help a cyclist prepare for a 100K bike ride?

I'm busy doing the 8 week sofa to 50k which I have been able to skip the first few weeks of.
If you're fit enough to run marathons you could try the 7 week panic plan by British Cycling that is 100km.0 -
Send a link please..I'll give it a look0

Found it, it sounds ideal. Thanks.
Any other plans out there?0 -
British Heart Foundation website has quite a few plans you could use as a guide.
You obviously have the cardio fitness and stamina already so time and comfort in the saddle is what you need to work on primarily.
I did their advanced programme training for a 113 mile event but shortened it by skipping the first few weeks.

Thanks, just FYI this is a ten-week plan. But it might work, and I'll compare and contrast it with the "panic" plan.

Yep - that's why I skipped the first few weeks. I only had 7 weeks until the event.0 -
Any others? Thanks for these two plans, MFP is great.
Also, anyone want to do a 100k bike ride in about eight weeks?

I started their 10-week beginner plan. I have to go do my 2 hour easy ride now.....from the plan phase to the actual pedaling phase.0
