Back on track again

Got a little lazy over the winter and packed on a little weight. Been eating better and exercising regularly again for the past few weeks. Pants are fitting better, shirts aren't as tight, and I feel a lot better already. Going to start back with my boxing class in a couple weeks too, just talked to my old trainer. I've got a couple kids so I don't have a ton of free time, but I'm just making it happen now.

Anyone else getting back on track this summer feel free to add me!

I've gotten off track, too. I've been really stressed this last year, and totally quit paying attention to the diet, and because of erratic schedule, haven't been to the gym in ages. I used to love it, but just can't get motivated to go. I have been eating really crappy and not paying attention to amounts, and I've gained back the 12 lbs it took almost a year to lose. So I went out and walked 1/4 mile tonight. It was really hard - it's amazing how out of shape you can get relatively quickly. But I know if I keep it up, the weight will start to fall off of me again. I walk on crutches, so my energy expended walking is 2-3 times a normal person.

I also got another battery for my food scale. Apparently you aren't supposed to store it on top of the microwave, or the battery will explode. I grilled a whole side of salmon so I will have that, and bought other meat that I can pre-cook and have on hand, along with frozen vegetables. That's my problem right now - I don't have stuff prepared to eat, so I just grab whatever or eat out.

Yeah I've gotten off track a few times over the years, it happens. The key for me is to just keep things simple and easy. No need to go to extremes all the time. That's why I typically burn out after 6 months or so because my diet/workout plan is too rigid and too much work. It should just be simple and easy to follow.
