Hi all, I was wondering if someone could explain the difference between these two things to me. I see people mentioning them all the time.
Also how would I calculate mine?

BMR (Basal Metabolic Rate)...these are the calories you "burn" merely existing on this planet...you would burn them in a coma...it is the energy you burn just having your heart pumping, lungs breathing, kidneys functioning, etc.

TDEE (Total Daily Energy Expenditure)...this would be your BMR + NEAT + Exercise...all of the calories you expend in a given day.

BMR is Basal Metabolic Rate. It's a rough estimate for the calories your body uses at complete rest.

TDEE is Total Daily Energy Expenditure. It's your Total calorie burn for the day and includes BMR, exercise and day to day life activity.
