Calculating exercise calories

Lots of people here have said the MFP overestimates the calories burnt through exercise. Does anyone have any other means that they calculate calories from exercise? Any formulas or other databases that may be more accurate?

Trial and error can narrow down your personal calorie burn.
My suggestion is to pick something between 25% and 100% of the calorie burn that MFP gives you and try that for a couple of months. If your weight loss isn't as fast as predicted, knock down the percentage and try another couple of months.1 -
The level of accuracy is going to depend upon the type of activity.
Walking - jogging pretty good......http://www.runnersworld.com/tools/calories-burned-calculator

Strength training - nope. Way too many variables.
Activity trackers are pretty decent for step based activity. HRMs are pretty decent for steady state cardio. Power meters for cycling, and so forth.0
