Picking up the pace

I have a new tracker that gives me time and distance. I started out with a goal of breaking an eighteen minute mile. I DID IT!!! Personal best time 17:05. Now I really think I can break a 17 minute mile. My route is right at 4 miles. So onward to the next goal.

    Way to go Marge! You absolutely can get faster. Try to do a "fartlek" (Swedish term) - that's running a little faster in short intervals on your run. That will help you speed up. Pick two points, like from a mailbox to a corner, and run faster for that short distance.
