Moving to Omaha/Columbus Nebraska area need outdoors exercise area suggestions

Hello MFP peeps! Looks like we are moving to Omaha Nebraska area. I would like to hear from anyone who knows of a 'great outdoors' area for trail biking, running, nature walking even camping or canoeing areas. Anyone have suggestions?

    Which part of Omaha?

    I'm in SW Omaha - Prairie Queen Rec Area and Wehrspann Lake have walking/biking trails along the perimeter. The trail around Wehrspann was about 6.5 miles and Prairie Queen is maybe 4? I am not 100% sure on that.

    You may want to look at the Papio Trail & Keystone Trail for walking/biking as well. The Bob Kerrey Pedestrian Bridge is popular.

    Outside of Omaha the Schramm Park Recreation Trail is pretty cool.

    My husband doesn't mind 'a drive' to work so we will likely pick out a home according to the convenience of recreational family activities.
