What would you want to be in/out of your diet?

I really want to add tuna into my diet again. Let's be honest: It's really good and has a lot of protein. I just had it right now and I enjoyed it with a little bit of mayo to add a bit of flavor. 2 years ago I got this recipe book that basically have healthy meals that you can cook, and to be honest I want to use some of the recipes, like the tacos and mac and cheese that are much more healthier than fast food and frozen foods. I also want to put cantaloupe back in my diet again, that stuff is so good. I'm not a watermelon person, and it's just that I prefer cantaloupe over it.

I want to still eat my junk but in moderation like candy or chips and cookies. I have been eating much lower and a little dangerous for what I should be eating to lose weight so I might have a little bit of junk food to help the calorie count, because there are veggies and fruits that are very low in calorie but have a lot of nutrition, even if you eat a lot of it, plus, a more satisfying feeling of being full and not eating as much (just reminded me I need to take my BED medication right now) It might help a little to keep myself eating enough instead of too little.

I haven't cut anything out and I don't eat foods I don't like, so I can't say there is anything I want in or out of my diet. Why have you cut out tuna and cantaloupe?

I never really cut anything out of my diet (had it less frequently for sure, because 1600 calories doesn't go that far lol)

Recently my bf is on one and he wants to clean up his diet and add a bunch of potassium so we're eating pretty clean by most people's standards; I'm going to see how it goes. I really love all the food I eat so I dont' mind that I subbed my garlic bread with sweet potato for the time being.

I had pretty dry skin and hair and am careful to get my fats from better sources now (fish oil, coconut oil, seeds, hemp hearts) and I'm going to give it 6 weeks to see if I notice an improvement. I know for weight loss it doesn't matter but if my skin and hair are showing symptoms I worry about what I don't see. Anyways, I know this is a numbers game so it really doens't matter how I eat for weight loss but I do have some specific goals that require a bit more attention than CICO.

My ultimate goal is to eat clean. So I'm cutting out a bunch of stuff. 5 months ago I cut out chocolate, because it's so addicting. Now that I don't have chocolate cravings anymore, I'm trying to cut out other sugar but in small steps. I got rid of doughnuts and once I'm not wrestling with that than I'll move on to something else. I've been adding a ton of meat. I'm anemic and the best way to combat that is to add red meat to your diet. So I've been working on getting red meat every day. I feel soooo much better not having nearly as much junk in my diet. I sleep better and I wake up more alert.

I cut back on a lot of things, but I didn't cut anything out. I do work hard at eating more fruits, vegetables, and lean meats.

May I ask why you cut out tuna and cantaloupe from your diet in the first place? Both are perfectly healthy. In fact there is no reason for you to cut ANYTHING out of your diet for you you to lose weight. Everything you enjoy in moderation that fits in with your calorie requirements is the key otherwise at some point or another you will just either give up because you are so miserable or binge eat whatever you are craving that you cut out. I speak from experience. I tried to cut out crisps some years ago as I felt they were "bad" for me. I managed a couple of weeks, then bang, ate about 6 bags straight off, haha. Now, I eat crisps and log them and I'm losing weight fine.

I like almost everything, even though I'm a little scared of new things, so my goal is to be flexible and to try as many different things as possible.

I'd like to be one of the people who can say, "I don't cut out anything... I eat what I want in quantities that work for me." But in reality, I rarely have that much control. Sometimes I do, but more often than not, I don't. So for me... if you asked what I wanted from my diet, I'd answer: moderation.

Same here. When I started the weight loss process I decided to ditch the idea of "cut out", "bad", "restrict", etc...and instead focused on adding, as in more varieties of foods, different cooking techniques, etc...this has worked very well for me. I eat more of a variety now than I ever did!

I haven't cut out anything except the foods I don't like. There are things from now on for medical reasons I can only have sparingly so I will do that but I won't eliminate

I want to start liking lean chicken because it is a good source of protein, low calorie and easy to cook. But I hate it. Most lean proteins taste like paper to me. I like them undercooked but that's dangerous.
