Yay 3 lbs!

I know this is a very tiny success, but I weighed myself today and I've nearly lost 3 lbs (MFP has it listed as 3 lbs, even though it's only 2.8, but whatever, close enough!)
Tracking what I eat every day is making a big difference it seems. I've only been at this a little over a week! Before that I was doing 2 weeks of working out and eating what I thought was sensibly and the scale wasn't budging. A friend recommended this site to me and oh my gosh I need to call her up and thank her. The first thing I learned is that I was majorly depriving myself, I don't think I was eating more than 900 calories a day. I'm actually having trouble meeting my 1200 day goal (well except the day I ate Chinese food...) because it feels 'wrong' to eat that much but I'm forcing myself to snack now. No wonder I was feeling so darn hungry all the time.
Fingers crossed this weight loss keeps up. I have a small goal of losing 5 lbs by a cousin's wedding on August 13th and at this rate it looks like I could end up losing more than that *knock on wood*!
