I had to screw it up somehow .. or maybe my protein powder doesnt mix well. I used 0% greek yogurt. The powder never really mixed .. it just created clumps of yogurt with powder on the outside like a donut.

Am I supposed to add something else?

Did you stir it well with a spoon? Do you love the flavor of your protein powder? Do you like 0% greek yogurt? I love them both. I use either the PEScience snickerdoodle powder or the BSN peanut butter cookie. I'll also sometimes add a bit of stevia or a 0 calorie flavor drop from My Protein.

Sometimes I don't mind the cakiness...especially with the BSN powder because it's a little fattier and it's just tasty. I could eat it straight.

I did mix with a spoon but it didnt really "mix" it just sort of stuck to the yogurt. While i like the powder when it mixes with milk, the dry taste was pretty terrible. ha.

Eh, maybe it's not for you then. I'm eating a whole tub of fage with cocoa powder at the moment. Ah...taste the macros.

Powdered PB and Fage YES. I don't like PB2 though. I don't know why it's the most popular brand. Really not the best.

You didn't mix it enough.... Give it time! Add a splash of water or milk, that helps.

Dig a hole in the yogurt with a spoon (or eat a bit from the middle), fill the hole with protein powder and stir. Can be messy, but delicious

I agree, it's much better in ice cream or make a pudding out of it my adding 1.5 oz of milk for every 15 grams of protein powder.

I can't even drink mine without a chaser. But I use Ancient Nutrition "Bone Broth" for Muscle Recovery. It tastes exactly what imagine chicken bones/congealed chicken bone broth would taste like. Except when shaken with just water, it turns into slimy foam and stays that way. I avoid whey and soy....but reading this makes me wonder if it's worth it. *shudder*

I'm not sure what you did wrong but it's been a delicious meal I eat near daily. About 1.5 servings of greek PLAIN yogurt (I use chobani), and about 3/4 serving of vanilla protein powder. Mix it really well with a spoon then I top with some fresh or frozen fruit.

The only way I can think of it turning out bad is you overdo it with the protein powder. Don't give up on it yet!

    That's what I was thinking
    Try using a little less
I've used too much and didn't mix it well and the result was not pleasant
I prefer using powdered PB mixed into Greek personally, which is another option
It can also vary drastically based on brand/flavor.

As others have said, you probably used too much protein powder. Also, casein tends to be more clumpy than whey.

PB2 mixed into greek yogurt or cottage cheese served over fruit is good. :)

    nah, i agree it's disgusting.

That's why i keep it simple with some fresh fruit or a drizzle of honey. If i'm feeling extra rambunctious i'll use greek yogurt on top of french toast. >:)

I have the same issue with putting protein powder into oatmeal. It just never works for me and is super gross. So much so that the only way I will consume protein powder is in a coffee or a smoothie. :(

I've found it easier to measure out the protein powder in the bottom of a container and put the yogurt on top of it, makes less of a mess when mixing it up and easier to incorporate it more fully.

May be less convenient if you're using a single serving tub of yogurt but I generally portion from a larger container of homemade yogurt.

Ok here is what I do, I take a HALF scoop of chocolate protein powder and add a bit of water, just enough to make it into a smooth paste. Then I take an individual pack of fruity Greek yogurt. Like the fruit on the bottom kind? I mix up the yogurt so that it's fruit throughout. (I say this because I know some people don't mix their fruit yogurt and just leave it on the bottom. Gross, lol).

Then I dump my fruity yogurt into my bowl with the chocolate protein powder paste and mix it together really well.

Now here's where I get CRAZY. I dump in a single serving (45g) of Harvest Crunch cereal.
    Makes for a delicious breakfast.

Good luck telling me how chocolate mixed with dark cherry, strawberry, or raspberry-pomegranate Greek yogurt is going to taste gross.

*i think the main problem is that ppl A) forget to add a tiny bit of water to their protein powder and expect it to just magically dissolve and be smooth in yogurt. And B ) don't like plain Greek yogurt and suddenly expect it to be delicious. Plain yogurt is nasty to me, Greek or regular kind. Use your favorite fruity yogurt, so much more yum and those individual servings are only 100 cals.

I would never even consider it. Greek yogurt has plenty of protein on it's own.

It definitely takes a lot of stirring, but I like whey and greek yogurt if I'm in a yogurt mood.
I usually do about 100 grams of yogurt to 20 grams of whey.

If you have too much whey to yogurt I'm sure it would be a disaster though.

Well yeah, but some ppl are try to get their protein in where they can so they double up.

Meh...I think it's pretty easy to get quite a bit of protein without dumping protein powder into everything. I supplement sometimes, but I just drink the shake. I think adding protein powder to everything is just kinda weird...and people are weirdly obsessed with all the protein.

I typically get anywhere from 120-140 grams per day and only have to use a supplement occasionally...I just eat protein rich foods.

I only add about 3g of PP per 6oz yogurt just enough to flavor it nicely. I've never had any problems mixing it in but you definitely need to stir well. Same with PB2, it mixes in nicely just a couple of grams is plenty and its probably my favorite add in of all <3

I'm not overly fond of it, but I've never had any issue with the protein not mixing. It must be the brands you are using.
