Hi!

I’m in my late 50s. Until my late 30s, I was extremely active. I played multiple sports, ran, etc. Then I was injured and had to stop. Unfortunately, I didn’t stop eating.

Since I turned 40, I have struggled with my weight. This year on May 19th, I hit 303 lbs. (21.64 stone, 137.44 kg.) and that was my do something moment.

My doctor has a weight loss program, so I made an appointment (which was hard for me to do). I saw the doctor on May 31st and officially began my diet on June 1st. (I weighed 296 then). I will be checking in every two weeks to track my progress. My goal is to lose 100 lbs. (7.14 stone, 45.46 kg.)

I am on a glycemic index diet (http://www.the-gi-diet.org/whatisthegidiet/) and started using MFP. The tools on MFP have made a great difference for me.

So far, I have lost 13 lbs and have 83lbs to go.

So..That’s me then.
:)
