Workaholic, never time for myself

Hey everyone. My name is Alyssa. I have struggled with my weight on and off my whole life. I have suffered from eating disorders and now (a month ago) was at the highest weight in my life. I am a loving mommy and wife. But I also am Director of a large preschool and I work about 55 hours a week at work. On top of that I am also a full time college student. I literally have no time for myself. And with my busy schedule ate out WAY too much. In April I turned 30 and was so unhappy with myself. I didn't do anything about it until May though. I was laying in bed one night thinking "Do I really want to live the rest of my life hating my body?". So I did some thing about it. I have lost 16 pounds in the last 30 days. I went to a doctor and he has me on an eating plan and it monitoring me. I am so proud of myself. But I need to keep it up. I still have about 80 pounds to go. I am looking for support on here. So if anyone wants to add me, I would love to encourage eachother.

Oh my goodness! I just read your post and thought - I'm reading my own story (minus the mum bit). I am 31yo, workaholic and just starting to focus on me. Going to a doc is a great idea. I hope you carry on with your change and thanks for the inspo! C x0

I imagine most have a similar story. I certainly know I did.
Looking at your day did any of those additional hours amount to a long term benefit?
Focus on the crucial 20% of your day that provides 80% impact (utilize the Pareto principle). Make time for yourself or you will suffer. If possible get your husband and kids involved in this and setup a larger goal for you all to do together.
I'm a huge proponent of studying habits of success. Some great information here:

You're a full-time star! Balancing the act of wife, mom, student, and manager is quite impressive. Your commitment to changing your health will help down the line. Keep doing what you're doing on your diet. What type of workout schedule do you squeeze into your already busy schedule?0
