First tip. Eating Keto doesn't mean you can eat as much as you want. SEriously, a lot of people believe that

I would echo what Rufftimes expressed. "Clean eating" really does not matter much in the context of weight loss for most people. Calories are calories, be they in the form of ice cream or skinless chicken breasts. Many folks who embark on macro specific programs are often not as mindful of this as they should be.

Use the search function for terms such as "keto recipes" and "low carber" You'll find a plethora of advice and discussion about it.

Having said that, I don't agree calories are calories. If you're looking to lose weight and don't care about anything else, perhaps. But not all food is created equal. It leaves a bitter taste in my mouth that so many people preach that here

Which is why I was specific to the context of weight loss. Calories in vs. calories out always wins in the end, regardless of the type of food consumed. This has been proven time and again in the peer reviewed medical literature, and an interesting mass media story on the subject is here that is worth a read: http://www.cnn.com/2010/HEALTH/11/08/twinkie.diet.professor/index.html

To your point, nutritional values obviously vary wildly. I only expressed this word of caution to avoid a potential pitfall that some people fall into on these types of plans, and one I have personal experience with.

I love Keto. Absolutely. Not sure I'll do it forever, but it got me within 4lbs of goal. And its the ONLY time I've been able to eat below maintenance and not been starving all day long
