What does Maintenance meals look like?

I know there's a fine line between "weight loss mode" and 'weight Maintenance mode' but what does a maintaining day look like for ya? Are the meals any different? Do you allow yourself more, less? Maybe a French Fry now and again? It's confusing to think about sometimes. Do you MAKE yourself eat more, even when your body is so used to 'weight loss mode' and by that I mean, small meals, small portions, no soda, no junk, etc.

This is an intesting question. So ramble warning, lol. I have never had to "make" myself eat more; I got fat because I ate too much. But I "let" myself eat more freely, I can have a bite of this and that here and there. This doesn't mean I'm getting out of control, or, well, my brain wants me to eat and eat, but I catch myself before it gets out of control. I plan my meals according to a simple template, I know how reasonable meals look like, and I weigh and count when that is appropriate, but I'm very flexible. I weigh myself every morning and keep track; I take action when the trend is creeping upwards. "Action" is simply stopping the bites until weight is steadily hovering around the lowest third of my self-defined 3 kilos "goal weight" range.
My meals are more carb heavy now than when losing weight, but not anything like I ate when I was fat. It's mainly the same foods, but portions and proportions are different. Meal size has actually gone up but mostly because number of meals went down. The difference between maintaining and losing the last pounds was just a couple of hundred calories.
I ate way too much "junk" when I was fat, and I've found so much enjoyment in cooking and eating better food, so I don't eat a lot of junk now. Soda has never been my thing anyway.1
