CAN NOT LOSE WEIGHT OF THIGHS AND BUTT HELP!!

Hey guys, over the last month or so ive had some gradual weight loss but the only place im losing weight from is my belly? i know you cant spot reduce but even when i was a member at the gym and ran for an hour and a half on the treadmill did 1000 steps on the stepper and cycled i still noticed no difference in my thighs or butt i guess my body is in proportion im a size 10/12 from the top and 12/14 from the bottom but loadsa different posts i have read say that it may be genetics which will make it virtually impossible to lose weight of my thighs?!?!!!?

Please help somebody! Also one more question ive been looking into buying some protein shakes and just wondered whether they would aid or hinder my weightloss and how?

    You just have to keep going. Like you already said, you can't spot reduce. Sounds like your butt and thighs will be the last place you lose from. That doesn't mean it's impossible - just that you are going to have to have patience.

    Keep losing weight and/or reducing your body fat percentage until you get the healthy results you want. Strength training will go a long way towards helping you achieve your goal.

    sadly, you are not going to notice much difference after one workout :) Keep at it, I am 'bottom heavy'. I workout 5 days a week, I have one session that is dedicated to leg work only. I have been doing this for about 8 weeks and lost 2.5 inches from my thighs and hips. Every work out i do involves at least 20 mins of cardio as well. Just stick with it and oyu will get there.

    you need to add some resistance training to your routine. yes protein will help with your weight loss but you have to keep going
