Never heard of it, but a look at the website confirms it's just as bad as it sounds. I've rarely seen so much concentrated woo.11

have not done it. have not heard of it
Googled and found it espouses this... The theory behind the diet is that the liver is a "fat-burning furnace" and the right combination of foods and a specific eating schedule will increase metabolism and cause the body to burn fat efficiently. But first the liver and lymphatic system must be detoxified for optimal functioning. There are three phases to The Fat Flush Plan:
Phase 1: This is the detox phase. It calls for eight glasses of a cranberry juice and water mixture per day to reduce water retention. Caloric intake is restricted to 1,100 to 1,200, and wheat and dairy products are prohibited.

Those who wish to try out The Fat Flush Plan can buy kits containing various supplements that are part of the diet.
Well, doh, of course they can - no point in a silly diet if it doesnt force you to buy something.
OP, your liver is not going to burn any more fat if you eat any particular combination of foods or on any particular schedule (oh and the purchased kit of supplements )
Your liver and lymphatic system do not need de toxing and there is absolutely no point in drinking 8 glasses of cranberry juice per day nor to banning wheat or dairy products (unless allergies etc - but then you would already be banning them)
and 1,100 to 1200 calories is too low for almost everyone.

LOL! This is where some people will say "OMG it works!" because 1,100 to 1,200 calories is so much lower than their usual intake so they'll claim they lost five pounds in their first week when in reality it's all water weight and will come back. I like cranberry juice once in a while, but having 8 glasses combined with only eating so few calories sounds miserable. I feel bad that people fall for this stuff.

I've experienced fat flushing out of my system. Just try getting your gallbladder out and eating a whole bag of potato chips.12

Wouldn't 8 glasses of cranberry juice basically be your calories for the day? Sounds terrible.3

I'm sure it's the no sugar added variety - Splenda or one of those. It can actually be pretty low calorie.
But yeah, this diet sounds terrible.0 -

...and I'm sure after all that artificial sweetener, you'll be spending the rest of your day in the bathroom anyhow, and won't have time to eat.
Maybe that's how the diet works. I mean it even has "Flush" in the name.

To be fair, it did say 8 glasses of 'cranberry juice and water mixture' - might not be lot of calories if the mixture is, say, one tenth unsweetened cranberry juice and 9 tenths water.
Still silly and unneccesary, of course - but not neccesarily calorie bombs.0 -

You really don't need rubbish like this, just eat any food you like without going over your calories.
Weight loss is simple maths, put less calories in then you burn off.1 -
Doesn't the silly name set off any alarm bells?
Fat is fuel, you reduce your fat when you put less fuel in than you expending - you don't flush it.4 -
Let your body do what it's supposed to do.
If you eat right, good exercise most days, sleep and drink water you'll be good. Take care of yourself.
No magical potions...do the work. You'll be proud of yourself and have a better chance of maintaining long term.

Drinking all that cranberry juice is sure to have you glued to the toilet due to the diuretic nature of cranberry juice. May as well put a flat screen on the back of the door.1

I drink a blend of 100% cranberry juice unsweetened, and water -- 4 oz juice, 28 oz water (I mix it up in an empty 32-oz juice bottle). Diluted this much, it's a lot like unsweetened iced tea, but I like it better (and darn, it's such a pretty color). But I drink it because I like it, and I drink maybe 16 oz per day at most. I'm not expecting it to detox my liver or flush away fat. It's just a zero-caffeine, zero-added sugar alternative to plain water.1
-
Yes,absolutely nothing wrong with cranberry juice or diluted cranberry juice mixtures - in sensible amounts, like all other items.
But the whole diet is just silly nonsense, including the ridiculous assertion one must drink 8 glasses of cranberry mixture to de tox the liver.

Why do people say that weight lost at the start of a diet is water? I don't understand why eating less will cause someone to lose water.0

Well, I did it years ago and I felt really good never hungry just eating clean and nutritious food, of course I modified it, in the phase one I still ate carbs because I like to exercise stronger.I remember that my skin, and nails looked better. Well that was years ago and I remember that I kept it off for some time. However, now I do not have a gallbladder anymore, so I don't know how it would work this time, besides I'll be forty this year.
Thanks for everybody's reply0 -
If it works for you and is sustainable long term...go for it. Just understand it's not necessary for weight loss...I don't cut out any foods or drinks and feel wonderful without deprivation...so it's really a personal choice.0
-
Yes if following this diet plan worked for you and you tweaked it to suit you and you are happy paying for unneccesary supplements - that's fine.
But the overall theory behind the plan is nonsense and any nutritious balanced diet of appropriate calorie deficit would work just as well.1 -

Not pleasant is it. My trigger is full fat dairy and I can't imagine doing it out of actual choice0
