Hey y'all! I would love to hear what your motivation is for incorporating exercise into your routine. I've lost 15 lbs through diet alone, and love the idea of getting fit... but I can't seem to motivate myself, as my weight loss is already quite constant. I only have 10 or so left to lose, so I would love to hear what motivates you to work out!

I'm in my mid-forties, which is around the point where women tend to lose muscle mass, if they do nothing to maintain it. That's even if they aren't trying to lose weight (inevitably, some muscle will be lost with the fat, but exercise, particularly strength training, can reduce the amount).

Cardio gives me more calories to play with, so I can eat more and still lose. In fact, if I don't eat back some of my exercise calories, I get pretty hungry. So, I'm locked in a cycle, but it's a good cycle.

Find something you enjoy. For me it's gardening and the bike. I LOVE going for rides around the neighbourhood and I'm building up to be able to do longer distance rides. It also helps that there are some fun locations nearby that I'm also using as short term and long term goals. Thinking of also hitting a pool this summer, and thankfully my backyard needs quite a bit of maintenance before I can properly enjoy it. I also do a 30 minute walk which is out of necessity, but that also helps in its own way.
