Hi everyone! I'm 43 years old and out of shape due to health issues the last few years. I had a microdiscectomy last Thursday after being laid up for two and a half months with a severely herniated disc. So far so good. I'm looking for friends to help motivate me and keep me moving. If you like to eat healthy and have recipes to share that would be an awesome bonus! I'm also an avid reader and love to bake.

I am literally going through the same exact thing. Same discs and everything.

It's tough. I haven't been able to do much, and I'm looking forward to being active again. The two hardest things are getting moving and eating healthier. I'm so tired of take out and processed foods. I can't wait to be able to cook for myself again.

Greeting! I was in the same boat. I had my 2nd surgery for L5-S1 Oct 2016. As a result; I have not regained much of my core strength, I struggle with balance related exercise just an overall struggle. I hear you...will add you as friends. Would like to have friends who struggle with the same issues.
