Hello everyone, I have been trying to read up on the ideal PCF ratios.
It would see that everyone has there own take on this subject just as everyone is different (Sex, Age, Race, Activity Levels...etc).
Any recommendations as to a Good General Guild line to start with ? currently I am set at P=50% C=20% F=30% as I lift weights 4x a week and only do cardio when I can maybe 2x a week for 60 - 90 min.
Thanks in advanced for any links or help in this area.
James

Don't do ratios would be my advice.

Set yourself minimum goals for protein and fat by grams instead based on your stats and activity/exercise/preferences.

Macros are a personal preference. I just aim for .8 grams of protein per pound of LBM, and I can usually get there with the MFP default ratios.

    Agreed

Calories determine if you lose weight. Macros support other things such as performance, muscle retention/growth, etc... And generally, should not be thought of in terms of percentages but rather grams per lb of lean body mass.

    Protein: .8 to 1.2g
    Fats: .35 to .6
    Carbs: Rest

And carbs and fats can have more variability in there too.
