Ankle Sprain

Need help

2 months back while running I sprained my right ankle in bad shape. I did do immediate ice pack and visited doc.. based on doctor prescription.. as this is not fracture.. I am using contiously ankle support band while I am not sleeping.. though there is no pain in the ankle.. but some sort of swelling is there which is not going.. based on second visit to doctor..he mentioned that ..the ligament has become more like a rubber and now it will take more time to heal.. I should continue to use ankle support and avoid anything which strain the ankle ..like running , climbing etc
. Any suggestions for fast recovery? Not able to run from past 1 month now

    Are you able to see a physiotherapist? Even one session and you could get some recovery exercises to re-strengthen the ankle. I tore up my ankle pretty badly at dance college and did a lot of recovery work with therabands.

    I would agree with seeing a physio rather than a doctor. Sounds like it needs strengthening as well as healing.
