Struggling with Exercise

So I do cardio 6 days a week, either for 30 minutes, 40 minutes or 45 minutes. I've lost 24.3 pounds since April 27th. It's becoming noticeablely harder to hit the 30 minute mark. My breakfast routine hasn't changed. Why is that?

Boredom? With your weight loss, have you lost too much muscle mass? This will contribute to how hard you can work during a cardio session.

Yea mix it up. Cut cardio back to 3 days a week and add in a couple of resistance days to preserve muscle mass maybe a stretch day. I love cardio but anymore then 2-3 times a week it started to become a burden.

I think you are losing about 4 pounds a week and you are burning fat and muscle. you may want to ease up to lose no more than 2 pounds a week and fuel up a bit.

Sounds like too much weight loss, honestly. I'd be very careful. Your body sounds like it's tired. What is your diet like?

All these other posts are correct. I have lost 37 pounds since April 10 due to a very low calories diet (800 calories) prescribed my doctor (started at 258). I have noticed that instead of my workouts getting easier, they are getting harder. My trainer has said it is because of the loss of lean muscle due to the lack of calories I am eating (I am torn between the advice of my doctor and trainer). So I am upping my calories to 1200 and continuing my workouts (one day 45 minutes of cardio, next day weight training) to see how it works.

Mix up your routine and reevaluate your calorie intake. How much are you trying to lose? Too fast isn't good either from what I read.

Yes, it's your lack of calories and loss of lean muscle mass.

Your doctor has put you on an 800 calorie medically supervised weight loss plan. I know a few people who have done that to get started. None of them have been told to exercise with that plan. Well, I should say they have been told to gently walk outside or on a treadmill during the 800 calorie portion of it.

Your body is giving you clear signals. Pay attention to it.

You're starving yourself and that's what's your body is trying to tell you.

Your trainer is absolutely right. If you don't fuel your body properly, your fitness is going to suffer. And, sooner or later, your health.

You need to put fuel in the machine to make it work.
