How accurate do you think Garmin vivofit is without HRM?

I wear the vivofit but don't use the HRM. I do an average of 12000 steps a day as well as a range of different exercises throughout the week. I was thinking of changing my calorie intake to 500 below what my vivofit says I burn for the day.
So today for example I've done 19000 steps in total which included 1 hr Zumba. In MFP I only logged 30 min Zumba as I only want to enter half the MFP calories as I know it usually overestimates. Vivofit say I've burned 2400 today in total. Do you think that would be quite accurate? I would therefore eat 1900 calories today.

For walking, it should be pretty accurate with out without a heart beat counter. For other stuff, not terribly accurate either way.0

The only way to know for sure is to try it. No gadget or machine is going to get it 100% accurate. Eat 1900 calories for a couple weeks and see if you are losing as you should. Adjust up or down based on the results.0
