Need help with macro breakdown

I'm going to start counting calories again and not sure what to set my macros at. Right now I have them set to 40% carbs 30% protein 30% .

    Stick with it for a few weeks and see if it works for you. Unless you have a medical reason to watch intake of a macro, its personal preference.

    Macros are fairly variable and should be aligned to your goals and be set up to increase satiety. In generally, the below ranges are in grams per lb of lean body mass.

    P: .8-1.2g/lb
    F: .35-.6g/lb
    C: Remainder
    Fiber: 20-30g+

    I know it's not percentages but you can back into those. Percentages are too generic and aren't aligned to peoples specific body composition and calorie levels.
