Teenage mom story. Getting back my health

Hey guys, so I needed somewhere to tell my story every day so it will motivate me to help motivate you guys. So here we go! I got pregnant when I was 16. Had my son when I was 17. My starting pregnancy weight was a healthy 125-127lbs. I had a lot of muscle mass. I played softball, was captain of dance and rifle in my color guard. I ran every. Single. Day. And it was normal for me to eat a protein bar and go workout at lunch at school. 200 crunches before my shower in the morning and another 100 along with some planking after shower. So after I got pregnant, I just stopped doing everything. I gained 80lbs while pregnant up until the week before I was induced, I was told that I needed to change the way I eat. That week I was diagnosed with preeclampsia. Of course I didn't know what that was, I was only 17. Looking back now I hate that I put my body and my child through that. I struggled to get the weight off, especially since I was taking the depot(not my choice). I workout at the gym almost every day after work. And my BMI stayed at a whopping 39! That's morbidly obese for my height. I was HUGE! So I decided to quit the depo two years later because I noticed that when it came close to time for my next shot, I would lose a few pounds and once I got the shot, they were right back on. So I quit and lost so much weight. From 175 to a now 145.8lbs. I became a personal trainer at the gym I went to. Taught a dance fitness class. I absolutely LOVED it! Nothing but fitness and that became my full time job. From the moment I woke up until we closed at 5(8 when I taught classes). But now, I've hit my plateau. I finished high school with high honors, put myself through nursing school and now I work for an amazing Dr. who firmly believes in clean eating and he is my inspiration. PLUS, I'm getting married in 3 MONTHS! While my fiancé has dropped 30lbs since we got together, I'm still here at the same weight. So my goal is 10lbs down by my wedding date. Sept. 30th. So every day I will be posting my 3 meals and whatever snacks I eat between. I hope I can help y'all through whatever because just by y'all reading this, y'all are helping me. I'll be back soon!

Hi there, I'm Hana. I'm 21 years old. I joined MFP on 2013 but I guess never really stuck with it. So currently, I'm on an almost 4 months semester break from university so figured I better focus on myself, just losing weight and getting healthy. I was at my heaviest by the end of February 2017 where I weighed almost 125kg. I currently weight 117kg and is working hard to at least be 110kg by the end of June and my main goal for my semester break is to be 90kg or at least below 100kg by the end of August.
I was diagnosed with GERD at the end of February 2017 and was hospitalized for 4 days because of it. It felt terrible as I felt like it was hard to breath, it's like a sensation of a lump in the throat. At the hospital I kept on throwing up the food I ate, I couldn't even sleep, I was crying most of the time because my GERD was really bad, I had to be on Xanax for a few days just so I could get some rest. It has been almost 3 months of me dealing with GERD and I have on medication yet I still have the symptoms, although it is now better as I do not throw up anymore and I am able to sleep. I am going to make an appointment for an endoscopy very soon just to be clear on what is the cause of my GERD and hopefully after that I will be able to get suitable medications that will make me recover 100%. One of my doctors did say losing weight my just be the cure for my GERD and after doing some research, I did find that what he said is true and most people who have GERD does feel better after losing weight. So, I hope when I do lose weight, I'll be so much healthier and happier as well and my GERD will be gone completely, forever.
Ever since I was diagnosed with GERD on February, I have lost a total of 10kg. I still have 55kg left to lose to hit my goal weight, but I'm very positive that I will achieve it, slow and steady, losing at least 1kg every week, healthy way all the way!
So basically, I am determined to lose all this weight and be completely healthy again. I am going to take control of my life, this is it. Here's to a better life, a better me. If you have GERD or maybe you just wanna be friends, add me as a friend. I'd love to have people to encourage me get on the right track and it will be my honour to encourage my fellow friends to stay motivated as well. Have a nice day! Thank you for reading, I appreciate it!
p/s : You're truly an inspiration, thank you for making me feel so much more motivated!1 -
I was on color guard in high school too. Hi! I only performed flag, but learned rifle. Class of '99, so about a million years ago.0
