I'm losing weight, struggling a little at min, but even though I'm getting smaller and my belly is getting smaller it still pops out! So really I don't look much different. If I did more toning on my tummy area would it bring it in more??

You can't spot reduce unfortunately! Your tummy will keep getting smaller as you lose more fat... And look more toned (which happens when you lose fat, making the area look more defined)2

Toning comes with lower body fat and good body composition (the latter is very important). That means you need to have low body fat and adequate muscle to provide a defined look. In general to achieve that, you want a moderate calorie deficit, adequate protein, and some resistance training (even if it's a body weight program).2 -

This is 100% true, but if you strengthen your obliques it will help pull your stomach in a little. Start by imagining a string pulling our bellybutton to your spine when you walk around and if you're not already, start incorporating a good strength training routine.0 -

Doesn't everyone hold their stomach in?0 -
I know you can't spot reduce and realise I won't look toned with fat but just wondered if there was anything I could do so it doesn't poké out as much. Although I see weight loss a pokey belly makes me miserable haha. I do pull my belly in when I remember! Thank you for the advice will try to remember to pull it in. It just really hurts after a while. I'm guessing that's because it's doing something!! Thanks again0

Pull your stomach in, wear well fitting underwear and pants/skirts (clothes in general), and keep being consistent with your deficit.... It'll go eventually!0 -
It's such a problem area! I look like a normal sized person till you get to my belly. Then I look pregnant makes me feel awful!! Wouldn't it be great if you could spot reduce! Haha! Just have to keep it up and be patient. Thank you0

Is it soft and squishy and always there, or do you wake up flat and then it gets bigger over the day or as you eat (and hard)? I used to have a pregnant looking belly from the food I was eating causing digestive issues...1 -
It's soft and squishy but also I know when I'm bloated cos it goes hard and twice the size! So it's a bit of both0
