That wall where everything slows down and gets harder!
I want to prepare for that battle I'm going to have. So roughly is there a period of time after losing weight and dieting that you see a difference or a slow down in progress?

It's different for everyone. Why do you assume it's going to be a battle?
I lost 75 lbs and reached my goal weight over a year ago, and have be in maintenance ever since. The entire process was a lot easier than I would have thought when I started. My best piece of advice is treat it like a marathon and not a sprint. Slow and steady really *does* win this race!2 -
There's no wall, it's more like getting in a cold pool/lake really slowly. Little bits at a time and you sort of see it coming. It's a gradual leveling off according to your TDEE vs calories in.
You just find some minor changes in either your diet or your exercise, implement them, see if they work and carry on.3 -

For me it was when I was about 4 lbs into the healthy weight zone. Going from obese to healthy was extremely easy. Past that was a trudge.4

For me it's after I've lost 15lbs. They first 10 always slip off, then the next 5 don't take much effort, but after that I feel like I have to surgically remove anything after that!0

I lost the first 25lbs relatively quickly, the last 5 seem to have taken forever!
The excitement, motivation and the need for exact precision wore off long ago lol Which could have something to do with it0 -
Yep I have a weight wall and somehow have never managed to get through it. For me I am trying not to view the changes I've made as a diet but a changed way of life because realistically if I think of it as a diet its depressing to think its going to be a year long diet and also if I view it as a diet I'll just end up back where I am cause when the 'diet' finishes I'll go back to my old ways.1

Just to add, I have 1.8kg (3lbs) to go til goal weight, and Trendweight says I'll get there in October this year. So yeah, i'm obviously doing super awesome0

You typically set your own walls by the limitations you set yourself. I could say I hit that wall when I was 5 lbs from my goal weight, but the wall is just me not willing to deprive myself to lose those 5 lbs. I could do it if I *really* wanted to.. but I don't.
That's really all there is to it...0 -

Too true! I refuse to eat less than I am now, so I'll have to settle for a snails pace.0 -
Getting under 200 lbs is a mental wall for me. Blah.0
