Healthy Chocolate Frozen Shake-NO Bananas!!!:)
Thought I'd share this recipe. Haven't tried it yet but it's intriguing in the fact that it uses frozen cauliflower instead of frozen bananas.
I'd probably not use as many dates and use a few frozen berries instead.
Curious too if anyone out there have used frozen veggies for something like this?

Not that having a chocolate ice cream 'typical' shake isn't 'bad' per say but consuming one frequently isn't something I would deem good for me to do. Just too many calories and I'd rather consume all those calories in food rather than just have one shake (a medium one is around 900 calories). Plus, I'd get a vegetable and berries - if used - into my diet. This recipe (although I haven't tried it) would let me eat what I normally do and have shake for dessert too without breaking my daily calorie amounts.Hmm yuck.
^I know...it does sound weird...I'm still going to try it though

I have never thought about using cauliflower in my shakes but I always use veggies, frozen or fresh, just because I don't really like veggies and it's a good way to get them in. One of my favorite morning meals is a banana, date, almond milk, chocolate pb2 protein smoothie.0

The Trim Healthy Mama cookbook has quite a few frozen shake recipes (chocolate and other flavors) that use vegetables. Frozen okra is a common ingredient. The ones I've tried are surprisingly tasty and you can't tell there's okra in them at all.
Sometimes if I make a smoothie for breakfast, I'll put lots of frozen greens in it. Usually, I like plain yogurt, frozen mixed berries, frozen spinach and a little milk or water to thin it out.1
