This is Soot. He's a feral I've been feeding for almost four years. He's decided he'd like to become a house cat. I'm working on Hubby.

Awww! I love his name!!1

He's charcoal-gray and I wasn't sure if he was male or female at first, so I went neutral. Every gray cat I've met has been called "Smokey," so I wanted to be a little different...2

I have 2 lazy bum torties (Pixie and Brownie), and a lazy bum calico (Kiki).
I'll get some pics of them later.4 -

All of them together... (sorta, Kiki is a stray we've taken in, and they don't quite get along yet)
Pixie (on the floor) and Brownie (on the seat) classing up the piano.
And Kiki taking over the office chair.

Oh, and I just found this one of Pixie and Brownie not quite sure what to make of their Christmas presents.

I want to pet the Kiki! And looks, in the first pic, like she's creeping them... Daww, sneaky kiki.2 -

Thank you! Pixie and Brownie were rescues from a no-kill shelter about 6 years ago. They had been there a while because nobody wanted to adopt an adult bonded pair (they were 2 years old). So we got a BOGO deal with them, and the only charged us one adoption fee. Their owner had passed away from cancer, and her husband didn't like cats, so they were neglected and really anti social when we got them. Can't keep them off my lap now!
And Kiki we took in because she was a stray that our neighbor was taking care of, and when he passed away, another neighbor took her to a farm so she could have the kittens she was pregnant with... but after that she traveled the few miles back to our little community, and made herself at home on our front porch, so now she's ours. We named her Kiki because that's how my almost 2-year-old son says kitty.5 -

Aww.. hearing about Pixie and Brownie made me tear up!!! You have SUCH a big heart! Sounds to me that Kiki knew where her home was and missed you!!1 -
And this is Sam... He's another stray we took care of. Someone abandoned him in the parking lot here, and he was so skinny his bones were showing when we found him. We fed him and made him an outdoor shelter, and generally took care of him for about 7 months until he got hit by a car. He was an awesome cat.

She looks a lot like my old cat. Took him to the vet one day and he managed to bust out of the carrier in the parking lot and ran off. Never did find him, he was pretty slick though so he's probably out there on some wicked adventures.4 -

Ohmygosh talk about white coat syndrome! My cat cries like a baby girl when I take him to the vet, but I couldn't imagine him busting loose! Maybe your cat was a beatnick at heart & the road was calling him...3 -

Oh he definitely is. It's nothing but farm land around my house so he was used to going off and roaming for days at a time.3
