Not my first time dieting, but it certainly gets more difficult every year. I looked at my lab work, and all of my important numbers are worse: A1C, Cholesterol, Blood Pressure. I have more belly fat now than ever in my life.

So back to portion control, healthier habits and exercise.

Don't be so hard on yourself. Good that you acknowledged what went wrong and now you know what to do. I too, have to life by eating portions and working out regularly. You are not alone. 50 is the start of all things new.

Own it! I decided I would redefine 50 and I'm quickly approaching 51. On New Years Day, while gorging on cocktails and comfort food, my two friends and I talked through what our health goals would be for 2017. I stuck with mine...using MFP, eating less processed/carb-laden foods, and doing yoga twice a week. It worked!!

One week at a time, sister! Celebrate small results, buy something new...and keep at it! You got this...and if you have a bad day...or week...we all do, cause we're human, pick yourself up and start fresh the next day.
