Should I try and cut out saturated fat, or are they OK ?

Hi - basically I am trying to figure out whether I should completely cut out saturated fat from my diet to a minimum level , or are they OK daily providing I am under the reference intake of 20g

For example I had a piece of carrot cake and a jam donut today - tuna mayo sandwich for lunch and am still under 10g of saturated fat for the day. I need 2300 calories a day and I am under that to. I feel bad eating that carrot cake and donut though.

Some people might say that carrot cake or jam donut is terrible - others will say eat what you want to make the calories... What do you think?

Providing I don't go over 20g saturated fat - should my LDL levels stay OK?

I added an omega 3 fish oil to my day (see 'nasty waste of calories' in my diary lol) and some better quality fats (avocado, hemp hearts) as well as whatever saturated fats I happen to also eat. I think adding some other good quality fats like pufa fats (more 3 than 6, we get tons of that usually) helps with the ratios of ldl;hdl

I could swear I answered this exact same question from the same person yesterday. Did you lose the other thread, OP?
